AOR Received.

At what time will PA ecas change from "application received" to "in process" ?

Also, is anyone else having a hard time getting into the march 2017 outland thread?!

In my case, it changed to "in process" right after AOR2 (transferred to VO). I heard it may be different for each applicant. :)

At what point do you get aor2? As of now the last email I received from cic was that they received my schedule A and pcc.

Sent app 1/5
AOR 1 1/21
SA 1/26
AOR 2 1/31

And then....crickets......nada...

Until around first week of March where they requested for my medical :) I was told though that a few people dont even get an AOR 2 notice. They suddenly just get more docus request or a medical.

We sent my police clearances upfront which I think sped my application (we were ready though just in case they asked for us to upload---they never did). So from Medical, it went automatically to background check in progress and crickets again...then COPR. :) I guess the "crickets" are part of the process.

We got aor on April 18 and SA on April 21. We then got email confirmation on may 4 that our schedule A and PCC were received via webform

Guess it's our turn for crickets lol

After my schedule A/PCC was received, what is the next step with my app?

our app was received 1/25
AOR1 2/23
Schedule A and supplementary docs requested 3/02
SA 3/06
File transfer to Mexico 3/13
Then waited 7.5 weeks to see eCAS add a fourth line to say "We started processing your application May 4, 2017". We never got an email from the VO saying they received our file (AOR2). Also, we have not gotten a request for more documents. Had I not been checking everyday both eCAS and GCKey account, we would not have known they opened our file in the VO and started processing our app again.

However, in GCKey account, under Application Status, it still says "We received your application" and it has not changed to "We are processing your application". It has been saying "We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements" and "We are processing your background check" since we obtained SA. But really, they didn't start our background check until May 4. So our app has not really shown the usual sequence of changes of notification and we couldn't really go by what was indicated in GCKey account.

At every step of the process, we have been on the longer than average end of waiting. It's frustrating, but there is nothing one can do. And unfortunately the Mexico VO is one of the slowest offices. Hope it's not the case for you!

Yes I cant seem to get into the March 2017 outland thread either, unable to access the spreadsheets in Yoge's signature either.

What did the third line on ecas say?

What did the third line on ecas say?

Actually, here is what was listed in PR side of eCAS:

1. We received your application for permanent residence on Jan 25, 2017.
2. We started processing your application on May 4, 2017.
3. Medical results have been received.
4. We sent you correspondence on March 2, 2017. If you have not provided the information or the requested documents, ......

It was line 2 that was new. Before last Friday (May 5), we only had 3 lines (#1, 3 and 4). I think this is our unofficial AOR2. Strangely, nothing changed in our GCKey account. It had been saying We are processing your background check since SA or file transfer. However, as I said before, I'm sure it wasn't happening yet. On March 23, they sent an email telling us they received our Schedule A which we emailed to them on March 14 as per their instructions, but they told us in the same email that they had not received our file yet as it was still in transit. On April 19, I had sent an email to the VO to ask them what our status was as we had been waiting close to 6 weeks to receive confirmation that our file would be opened. We received an email from the VO on May 2 saying that they still had not received our file and that it was still in transit. (Our file was probably sitting on someone's desk in queue).

Finally when I checked 3 days later, that is when I saw the second line added in eCAS on PR side. Maybe my email gave them a nudge to do something. I don't know which VO you are going through, but hopefully it won't be as slow as the Mexico City one. Some people on the Mexico thread have said that they think files are opened and processed in batches every 2- 3 months. I must have just missed the last batch, as several people got AOR2 confirmation (request for documents or change in eCAS usually) on March 28.

I would go and read up on what happens with your VO, as each VO does things differently. I have not heard of other VO's processing in batches, so hopefully when they receive your file at the VO, they will open it right away. But check your eCAS and GCKey account in case they don't send out AOR2 emails. Any change likely will indicate that there is movement with your file again.

  1. We received your application for permanent residence on March 29, 2017.
  2. We sent you correspondence on April 19, 2017. If you have not yet provided the information or the requested documents, please do so as soon as possible. Please wait until you receive the correspondence before sending us additional information, as the correspondence will outline all information that is required.
This is all that we have received on ecas

And since then our schedule A and PCC have been sent and received via ircc webform

based on this, what stage am I at?

You got SA, so more than likely youre waiting for AOR2. When that happens, you will see it say there that "we have started processing your application on..." Thats your cue that you are in AOR2. Also, you may receive an email that says your application have been transferred to a VO. But again, a few that I know of were different from mine. They suddenly had a medical request one week after AOR2 while I was dealng with the crickets (lol). But then they had crickets, and I had a medical request (a month later). :) Then crickets then COPR. :)

I was just reading in another post that anyone who uploaded docs via IRCC webform is looking at a 1 to 2 month wait for docs to get attached to your file. Apparently there is a backlog as uploading onto myCIC account directly was not working.

Hopefully they will clear up the backlog soon. I think even if they transfer your file to VO, they will have to wait to receive your schedule A to get your background check in progress.
