Hi all,
I hope this message finds you well. I'm currently a senior international student whose Study Permit will expire in June. I want to apply for a work permit before the Study Permit expires. I heard that I can have the 'implied status' before I get the results for my applications.
I have 2 questions:
1) Do I need to apply for a Work Permit 30 days before my Study Permit expires? Based on the info on the Gvmt website, it seems no?
2) Currently the biometrics service is closed due to the virus, and we can have 90 days to give the biometric info. Thus, can I still have the 'implied status' if I cannot provide my biometric info? Or usually (regardless of the COVID-19), if we don't give the biometrics, can we stay here with the 'implied status'?
Thank you in advance,
Chloe
