Questions asked by immigration officer

Hello,

I have recently applied for a TRV and I am waiting for approval.

I would like to know what are the questions that are usually asked by the immigration officer and what all documents do they ask to show.

Can I carry gold with me in my carry on bag and should I be declaring it in the customs and declaration form? These would be for my personal use.

What is the procedure at the immigration? This will be the fist time I will be travelling if my TRV is approved.

What about medications? Can I carry any amount of non prescribed medicines? Or is there is a limit on this as well?

Do they also check how much luggage are you carrying as well?

No need to declare gold if it’s for personal use.

Medication limit is 90 days.

Questions at POE are basic: how long, purpose, where will you stay. You can use the Search function for more details about the immigration procedure: POE interview, collect bags, secondary customs if subjected.

When in doubt, follow the people to where they’re headed, read the signs at the airport, or ask an airport official.

Anyway, worry about your TRV approval first specially if it will be your first time travelling.
