I have an Indian passport with a Canadian PR. I know a few countries I can transit through to reach Canada with this combo but not sure about the UK (LHR, Heathrow airport).
There was an air bubble agreement between the Indian and UK govt which did not allow transiting through the UK.
Questions
1) Does anyone know if we can transit through the UK as of today (April 2022) without a transit visa? Has anyone done this successfully? Please let me know your experience.
2) I have an Ontario PNP, can I have a layover in Montreal and then a connecting flight to Toronto? In that case, where will my immigration happen? Does landing in Montreal cause any immigration issues?
With the rates of direct flights being sky-high I am trying to figure out a route that isn't financially draining. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!
