Hi...I'm a little confused about some of the rules after my husband gets his PR and is in Canada.

Is it true he can't work for 3 years and that I'm responsible for our finances? And I read something about him remaining in the Canada for 730 before he can travel. If he has to travel outside the country he has to prove that he will remain in the country for those amount of days?

None of this make sense to me?

thanks

Looks like you had a lot of misinformation.
He can work as soon as he lands and applies for a SIN. You are responsible if he collects welfare.. meaning you will have to pay for it. He can work right away!
As for travel, as soon as he has his PR Card he can travel anywhere he wants. He has to satisfy the 730 days PR Requirement within 5 years. So he can be out for 3 of those 5 years and nothing will happen to his status. But if he wants to get his citizenship there are other requirements, but yes he can still leave the country.. he isn't prisoner..
Hope that helps you !
