Hi, I have a few questions regarding supporting documents for the sponsor of Permanent Resident Application.
I'm trying to get a permanent resident visa for my Japanese wife and we're both living in Japan right now.
I am working here, but as a freelance artist.
On the sponsor's document checklist (IMM 5491), the sponsor must attach supporting documents which includes an "Option C Printout" and evidence of self-employment income. I'm not sure how to handle this.
I called the Canada Revenue Agency and asked about how to handle the "Option C Printout" and Tax papers.
They told me that since I'm working in Japan I don't have to pay any money in taxes to Canada.
But,
1: Do I still need the "Option C Printout" from Canada Revenue Agency even if it doesn't have my tax or income information from the past few years?
2: Do I file my taxes here in Japan and send that paper instead?
3: or is there another paper I can send instead of this?
Thank you so much if you can help out!
