I finally got my PR card in the mail. It looks pretty cool though my picture is really bad, but o well!

I have a couple questions. Now that I have my PR card can I take that COPR paperwork out of my passport? IT makes my passport twice as thick and bulky as it already is.

Next is, I plan on going on a trip in about a week and will be driving to the states and back. When I cross on the American side (I am an American citizen) do I need to show them my passport and PR card? Actually, I have the same question for when we cross back into Canada, will they want to see both my passport and PR card?

Going into the US, give them just your US passport. Going back into Canada, both passport and PR card.

Save the IMM 5292 (COPR) in a safe place, as you will need it to apply for citizenship in the future.
