I had couple of clarificaitons on Police Clearance Certificate
- I have been staying in California for the past 3 years. Do I need to get police clearing certificate from the countries I lived earlier or would the PCC from country I am currently staying would do?
- This is specifically for Indian citizens trying to apply for PCC in US, say from Indian consulate at San Francisco. Would the PCC from the Indian consulate do or do I need to get the certificate from India only.

Appreciate your response

You need to get PCCs from ALL countries you have lived in since you turned 18. This applies to ALL your family members as well. For the US, you need to get BOTH state and FBI clearance. For India, it does not matter where you get it from, if you are in India get it there, if anywhere else, get it from the Indian consulate or embassy where you reside.
