Hi! I'm creating my express entry profile for CEC and I am confused about a couple of things.

1. In the Work History section, do I need to mention the foreign work experience for which I don't want to claim points? This is for my spouse and I know we don't get points for it, but do I still need to list it?

2. Likewise, in the Education section, is it necessary to list highschool education? I only want to claim points for my Bachelor's degree (ECA done) and Canadian diploma.

Please advise.

1. you need to declare what you did, without temporal gaps. whatever is studying, working, fishing in the lake, or looking for your inner side in the mountains. even if you dont claim points. you dont need to provide documentation

2. if its within last 10 years, yep. even if you dont claim points. you dont need to provide documentation

I'm seeing a lot of opposing views about Work History section of EE profile. I came across this reliable source which states that we don't need to list the work experiences for which we don't want to claim points (in EE profile): https://www.bcimmigration.com/what-work-history-must-be-included-in-the-express-entry-profile/

you cannot have temporal gaps, so...

Even if you were unemployed, you need to declare it
I'm not talking about Personal history. I'm talking about the Work History section when creating the Express Entry profile. What you are referring to is the Personal history section which shouldn't have any gaps, not even a day.

you do NOT declare in the work history were you claim points, work experience you do not want to claim points.

The EE has another section in which you declare everything, work you claim points, and work you dont claim. Your personal history pretty much

exactly. the work experience you dont claim points, you dont write it down.
