Questions about documents I need for landing

Hello,

I checked the CIC website to see what documents need to prepare for landing in Vancouver. I saw other documents I may need include:

- Letter of reference from former employers
- Birth certificate

Do these 2 have to be up to date? I applied EE in last July. So these 2 were dated last July when I applied.

Do I need to make them updated? Or just have them with me will be okay?

Please advise.

You don't need those documents for landing. Only your passport, COPR, B4 & B4A forms and POF (if applicable).

I tried sending you an inmail on LinkedIn so that i could write a recommendation but i dont have a premium account so i couldnt.

What does "if applicable" mean for POF documents?
I had submitted my app in November 2015 so my POF documents are from those dates. Do i need to procure new POF documents for landing ?
it was quite an involved process the first time around, and i have less than a week left for my travel to Vancouver, hence nervous.
