I'm having 20 months Canadian experience, my work permit expired. Now if I go to my home country and gains 4 months experience. Do i get points for 2 years experience ?
AFAIK crs tool calculates work experience in whole years only (1 year, 2 years). But I am not sure how express entry app works.
Please help me with your experience/analysis

No. It will only count as 1 year as it has to be continuous.

Like mentioned above, it will be counted as 1 year Canadian work experience. I suggest you work for 1 year in home country to get points for foreign experience as well.

Both answers provided are correct, but I'd like to clarify kryt0n's response.

Canadian work experience and foreign work experience are calculated separately.
Any foreign work experience you have does not have to be continuous (eg. it can be 1 month at the first job, 6 months at the next, etc.) for it to be counted together with all your other foreign work experience. But it cannot be added on to your Canadian work experience.

Thanks for the reply

I wish points should be given for months, because on 3 year work permit many of my friends including me ended up with having 20, 23 months of experience
