The mother of my husband's son (they were never married) was recently deported from the USA and banned from entry for 10 years for entering without a visa and staying for more than 10 years. The child is now coming to live in Canada with us, but she wishes to accompany him on the flight and for a week to get him settled. She would be coming from Peru and is a Peruvian citizen. The son is an American citizen. Given her status with the USA and the ban on entry how likely is it that she will be denied entry to Canada as well?
