Question regarding application processing review (AINP Nominee Application)

Hi guys,

I have a question regarding the processing review by CIC.

My application was received by CIC in October, 2012 and they started processing it by March, 2013. I submitted my medical by Dec 12 - Jan 13. I paid the RPRF fees in June 2013.

It has been 16 months since CIC received my application and I emailed them yesterday regarding the status and they said that my application has completed the initial review process and there does not appear to be any outstanding information or documents for my application.

Further they said my file is now in queue for the final review process following which I will be contacted by their office with either a decision or a request for additional information.

My question is how long does the final review process take if the "initial" process has been completed. It has been 16 months so far and I was wondering if anyone has experienced anything as such and can help me in understanding the process.
