Question on Schedule 8 Occupation in the past 3 years

Hi,

I will be submitting my CEC application in May'2013.

I was a MSc student in Canada from SEP'2008 to DEC'2010 and employed in Canada from DEC'2010 to AUG'2012. Currently, I am living in Australia for study purpose (PhD studies).

In Question 5 in Schedule 8: Do I need to include my current occupation (PhD student) in Australia as it is outside Canada or I list my occupation from May'2010 to Aug'2012 in Canada only?

From December'2010 to August' 2012....Employed at University of Waterloo on NOC 4011

From May'2010 to December'2010...Graduate Assistant at University of New Brunswick on NOC 4012


It asks whether I was a full-time student in any of the period mentioned in the list?

I finished my MSc thesis defense and all the requirement of my degree on December 20, 2010 and started working full-time from December 21, 2010 on off campus work permit+Study permit, later on I continued the same work on PGWP from February 14, 2011. I was a registered student at my University from Sep'2008 to December 31, 2010. From, January 2011 I was not a registered student anywhere in Canada.

Do I Select Yes in the above question and mention in details that " I was a full time student in Canada at University of New Brusnwick form Sep'2008 to December,2010 only'

Yes.
There is something to take care: You will have to mention the status on which you worked Dec 21, 2010 till Feb 13, 2011 (my guess would be off campus work permit while waiting to get PGWP).

Also, Visa officer will consider "work exp. eligible" only the work done using PGWP after the date of convocation, not the date when studies were finished; if you are claiming CECR with work done using PGWP. So do take care of these points while calculating your eligible hours of work done.
