I am currently working on my invitation letter for my partner in the Philippines and i need help.

I am aware that i need to disclose that she is a transgender and she is my girlfriend. do i need to tell how long we have been in a relationship? I am currently leaning on not to disclose it since its a trv application is not PR application. We need to concentrate on her country and family ties

I am currently renting and i live alone. I dont want to submit an overwhelming requirement to support my partners TRV. Here's what i prepare to submit:

• Invitation Letter plus Travel Itinerary for my partner
• T4 for past 1-2 years
• Photocopy of my Birth certificate, Drivers license and Canadian Passport
• bank statement for past 6 mos to 1 year
• certificate of employment

Do i need to submit lease contract of my apartment or the affidavit from my landlord stating i am renting and i live alone? the problem is I dont have lease contract in my apartment because he is my long time friend for more than 40 years.

Is that all i need? any thing i am missing?

Hey there,

No I don't think you need to submit your lease, the information you are giving is plenty in my opinion.

In your invitation letter, make sure it is clear that your partner will be staying with you, and what expenses you are covering for them. Also, a detailed itinerary with dates and addresses of places you'll visit is good. Stay away from words like "live in Canada for a while", use words like "visit" instead, as that is the purpose of a TRV, to visit, not live in Canada.

Good luck!

I would only send this. You are the Sponsor, not the main applicant. IMO you are totally overdoing it.

Invitation Letter plus Travel Itinerary
Photocopy of Drivers license
Latest bank statement
Letter of employment

Hey OP,

There are many ways to write and word your invitation letter. I suggest doing a google search and you will find tons of examples! Just look for a format that you are comfortable with and adapt it to your situation :)
