Hi,
My wife is currently on H1B working in the US. I am on a H4 visa. I plan to move in the next few months once I get ITA and submit docs. The EE score estimator puts me at 482 points, so I will definitely get an invite. I have indicated on the application that my wife will be accompanying me.

I have a few questions.

1) If my wife decides to continue working in the US on H1B and not accompany me, will she get her PR card?
Note: I will be moving regardless.

2) If the answer is no, is there a way to get the PR card by staying in Canada for a short period of time (ex. a week that she can take off work)

Any suggestions welcome :)

1. No

2. Yes, she will have to land with you or after you , but before the landing date stamped on your passports. This visit can be just for a day or a few hrs even. This is called soft landing and commonly done by a lot of primary and secondary applicants. She can initiate her PR card processing and then go back.
