Question about TRV (Guatemala office)

Hi guys... I was wondering if there are any central americans who have applied to TRV lately (Guatemala office)?

My friend is applying from El Salvador. He sent his application online on May 1st and until now there is no answer. According to CIC, the processing times for Guatemala are 37 days (calendar days? business days? ???).

If the answer is calendar days, that would mean that today is day #34. What happens if the application exceeds the processing times? :

I would like to read any other experiences.

The timelines are just a guide, not a commitment. Give at least 50% of extra time to start asking, expect up to 100% time for delays. A delay of 200% is not common but does happen.

(Calendar days, from the moment they receive it to the moment a decision is made. Add for mailing time).
