question about Study Permit for police certificate

hey guys, right now i'm applying for a volunteer job, and they need me to get my police certificate.
the police office told me i need one Canadian ID with photo on it. Currently i can only use my Study Permit.
i noticed that on the right bottom of the Study Permit, there is a area that looks like it's for putting photo on it.
is it true that i can stick the ID photo on there? :

No way you can write or do any thing on the official document, DONT DO IT

when they say Canadian ID they mean driving license, or other form of government ID
