I am looking to apply for the Federal Skilled Worker Program. I have a question about the skilled work experience criteria.

I am a musician, teacher, and musical arts administrator. Over the past 2 years, I have over 1,800 work hours from employment in the States and in Canada. However, it comes from many sources (admin jobs, a bunch of different performance gigs, private teaching). I have invoices and pay stubs for everything, to prove that I did them. All of my positions count as skilled occupations under the NOC TEER categories.

I know that the one year of continuous work can come from multiple part-time jobs, but is there a limit to how many? And, is it still valid if some of the hours are from temporary gigs/free-lancing work? Also, could these still be counted as “the same type of job” since they’re all under the umbrella term of musician?

Thank you so much for any and all help with this!
