Have you looked into the details of the self employment program? It requires that you have experience either in cultural activities or athletics (or as a farmer). I assume you plan on applying through the cultural activities stream. CIC is typically looking for individuals who are internationally recognized or at a minimum who can demonstrate two full years of self-employment. If your income is low, I think you will really struggle to prove you meet the requirements. Additionally, processing for the self employment program tends to be very long. I would recommend finding a different way to immigrate to Canada.
