Hi, I received Canada PR a few months ago and I'm planning to move next year. In the meantime, I want to apply for my parents' visitor visas. They might travel with me initially to help me settle in. Is it okay to mention this as the purpose of travel or is it better just say tourism so it doesn’t raise any concerns about extended stay? Like should they even explicitly mention that I've got a PR?

Also, both my parents have valid B1/B2 US visas (not used yet). I’ve heard this might strengthen the application. Does it actually make any difference in the processing/approval?

Thank you!

You aren't in Canada so cannot include letter of invitation so they are visiting for tourism purposes. Having US visa may help.

And applying to soon after you move could give the impression they are moving with you

And confusing . How would they help you settle ? They wouldn’t know anything how the system works in Canada
And you moving would have been in the works for awhile

Repeat . They can’t appear to be moving with you . You got PR, they didn’t . It’s not in the North American culture for helicopter parents to continue sheltering the adult when they are an adult
