Hi everyone,
First of all I'm sorry about my bad English, I am planning to take a short term program in a college in British Columbia 6 months of and 6 months of paid work experience related to this program. I am confused about being refused since I DON'T have any travel experience, and my age is 32, do you think that even if i submit my application correctly chances of being rejected is high because my lack of travel experience and age?

-Assuming that I am accepted how much money do I need as a proof of fund putting in consideration the ability to work part time during the first six months. and paid full time other six months.

I hope that my questions are clear, thank you all.

It's possible you may be approved. You will have to provide strong proof of ties to your home country and demonstrate why it makes sense for you to travel all the way to Canada to take this program. Additionally, this program must make sense in light of your previous education and work experience.

You will need to show a bank balance that covers your tuition + $10K in living expenses.

If this is a private college, you should be aware that you most likely won't qualify for a post graduate work permit once you're done.

what about unpaid internships in wilderness which room and board is provided, is a work permit need? what if it's more than six months and i found who hire me? do I have to leave the country and re enter?
I hope that my question is clear and thank you for your time

Yes - a work permit is needed for an unpaid internship.

You can apply to extend your visitor status in Canada if it takes longer than six months. No guarantee CIC will approve the extension of course.
