I immigrated to Canada as a dependent child, accompanying my parents and brothers about 5 years ago. We went through the processes and eventually received our permanent residency.
While I decided to stay here and study and work, my family eventually left Canada and has consequently not been fulfilling their residency obligations.
Now that I am about to renew my PR card, I am somewhat concerned because the main applicant (and really, nobody in my family but myself) fulfill the requirements. Now my question is, are there any dependencies remaining between the family members after the PR has been granted? Or are all of them treated as individual, separate entities?
Any help, answers, or pointers to official documents dealing with this are much appreciated.
