Question about dependents on Form IMM0008

Hello everyone,

Marry Xmas!!

I'm a permanent residence in Canada for more than 4 years and now I'm applying for my mother only for immigration. (She's in Taiwan), but not my father at this time (he wants to stay in Taiwan).

When filling out form IMM0008, it asked to dependents information. I'm very confused here. If my father choose to stay in Taiwan (he's not sure if he wants to immigrate), should I fill out his information?

Also for form :-\ IMM 0008DEP, what is this for if I've already filled out my mother's info on IMM0008? I'm the only child in my family, should I also fill out my father's information here?

For form IMM5669(Schedule A background/declaration) and IMM5406 (Additional family information), should I also fill out my father's info even he choose not to immigrate at this time?

Yes u have to, because if he decides to come in the future you have him as your dependent

Hi

Your father must be included in the application as a non-accompanying dependent. He must be listed as such in the app, fill out all applicable forms, submit documents and PCCs and undergo a medical. You must also include him in the LICO calculations.

IMM0008DEP - As clearly stated in the guide, this form only applies if there are more than five accompanying or non-accompanying dependents.

IMM5669 and 5406 - Again, as clearly stated in the guide, the spouse must fill these out whether accompanying to Canada or not
