Question about continuing to stay in Canada (BC) after expiration of Work permit

Hi All,

My Work permit expires in another two months time with my current employer . My Temporary Resident Visa(TRV) is tied to my work permit and hence expires the same day as my Work permit.

I am looking for jobs however, if I do not find a job before my work permit expires I would like to know what are the ways I can continue living in Canada till I get my next job offer?

You can apply to change your status to visitor before your work permit expires.

Thanks for your reply. But will I have to leave the country and re-enter or can I change my status to visitor within Canada and continue staying? Thanks again
