Dear friends,

Just wanted to know what exactly is an arranged employment in Canada mean. Will a full time two years contract position be considered as arranged employment.
Here I am curious as no one in canada offers full time positions for indefinite period, they give full time positions which are renewable. So what would be a arranged employment.

You definitely need an approved LMIA. The employer also has to be willing to take you on as a permanent employee (not contract) once you have PR.

I'm not sure why you think Canadian employers don't offer full time positions but only contract positions. This isn't true. Perhaps the employers you've been speaking to just aren't willing to offer you a permanent role. In that case I would look for other employers.

Thank you do much for the answer. But my husband us working as a posdoc toral fellow and these are like contractual positions that does not require an LMO. His employer will do his LMO next year but again they are lije renewable full time positions in the university. Earlier we were thinking of applying fir a pr under cec niw that express entre I'd cv ominous do not kniw wether his employment with the LMO will be considered as arranged employment.
Gues still we would have a chance under cec under express entry with the level of Eduration, experience and skills. I know it's too early to start thinking abou the express entry.
