I have completed a Masters of Management program from a University in Ontario and plan to submit my PNP application next month under the Masters student category. The amount to be shown for 1 person is $11,086. My question is -

Should I have this amount of $11,086 continuously in my bank for the last 6 months (that is a balance every month of $11,086) or is it OK to have $11,086 on the date of submitting the application and less than $11000 for some months prior to submitting my application. Right now I have slightly less than $9,000 in my bank and I will be receiving the remaining amount this month.

I think if you have the required amount at the time you apply then you would be alright. Also you could show revenue streams which means you would be earning more than the required amount over next 12 months (jobs/earning etc). As long as they see you have regular flows in your bank statement they wont ask you anything. Also I would suggest you to provide a letter explaining your situation.

Thanks spartacus. I will be enclosing the necessary documents and bank account statements along with my application.
