hi folks,

1. I'm the main applicant and unfortunately my wife is not able to accompany me coz she has official passport. So i have decided to sponsor her later. In that case do i need her police clearance certificate ?

2. My baby is just 7 days old and i need to keep my child as non accompanying member in my application as my wife is also not accompanying. I don't want to make the baby's passport if not needed. Can i apply without the baby's passport ?

Pls help.

1. Yes - you need to provide PCCs for your wife. Even though your wife is non-accompanying, she must provide PCCs in order for your PR visa to be approved.
2. I'm not sure. Hopefully someone else will be able to answer your question.

Thanks a lot bro for the info. I will collect my wife's PCC.
Btw, do you think there is any way to keep my wife as accompanying member even though she has an official passport ( i don't want her to quit the govt job at this moment) ? Or is it better to sponsor her later ?

Is it forbidden to apply for a personal passport if you have an "official" passport?

PS. Scylla is not a "bro" :D

Hi Zardoz,

Yes, one cannot acquire multiple passports in my country. If someone wants to make a regular passport then s/he needs to quit the govt job first and then apply for a new one. btw, do you know if passport is mandatory for non-accompanying member like child under age 18 ? I mean do i need my baby's passport if he is not accompanying ?

sorry to Scylla about the "bro". i didn't noticed actually :p
