Hello Everyone,

I have joined this group today and its wonderful to get answers to most your queries. I and my husband have recently got the PR.

I have below few questions:

1. What questions do immigration officers ask at the airport.
2. List of items that i should carry should be the print of excel sheet in A4 or forms will be provided at the airport by the immigration officers.
3. Can i take more than $ 14737 half in form of cash and bank statement of scotia bank for two people.
4. What are the others forms which i and my husband will be filling at the airport.

Thanks alot.

Regards,
Navjot

1. The most important- is about your address in Canada where they could mail your PR card.

2. You may make your own form or follow the instructions:
Declaring your goods

When you arrive in Canada, even if you have no goods with you at the time of entry, you must give your list of goods to the border services officer at the first point of arrival in Canada. Based on the list of goods you submit, the officer will complete a Form B4 , Personal Effects Accounting Document, for you, assign a file number to it, and give you a copy of the completed form as a receipt. You will need to present your copy of the form to claim free importation of your unaccompanied goods when they arrive.

You can make the process easier by filling out Form B4 as completely as possible, in advance. Form B4 is available by selecting “Publications and forms” on the CBSA Web site or by calling the Border Information Service at one of the telephone numbers listed in the section called “Additional Information.”

3. Scotia Bank in Canada? Yes you may do with cash and bank statement.
4. Do not remember anything at the airport. If only the officer would ask you to.

You will need to fill a declaration in the airplane, and please mention there ANY food you are bringing to Canada. Even spices or dried food. Everything what you put in your mouth- is a food to declare.
