Hello everyone,

I am from Pakistan and lives in Saudi Arabia. My wife, a Canadian citizen is going to sponsor me for the PR through outland process. She lives with me in Saudi and she only went once to Canada after our marriage of four years. We have a son who was born in Canada.

We have few queries which are:

1) Where should we send our application first, do we also need to send our application together to Mississauga, Ontario or we can directly send to Abu-Dhabi, which is my selected Visa office.

2) She is unemployed and a housewife since she lives with me in Saudi, will it affect our application as there are some specific questions in the application related to sponsor income ?

3) What if my wife's parents write on affidavit that they will take care of my accommodation, food etc, will it help?

Please if anyone can answer these question, would be great help

Thanks

Hello.

You are in the same situation as me. I am Canadian living in Costa Rica and I have on again off again work, it is my husband who supports me while I am here.

When you apply outland you have to send the entire application (both PR part and Sponsor part) to mississauga first, once your wife is approved as a sponsor they will send your PR application to the appropriate visa office.

Your application will not be refused because of low income, but your wife does need to prove that she will move back to Canada once you have your residency. Personally I have a job offer from an employer that I previously worked for whom would love me back.

Yes, if her parents can write a letter stating that they are aware of your plans to move to Canada and that they will offer you room and board while you get settled in the country it will help. My parents are also doing this for me. I also have a letter from my grandmother saying that she can't wait to meet my husband and that they should process the visa as fast as possible. haha. Love my grams.

In the application, the biggest part is proving that your relationship is real, the second biggest part is having proof that your wife will reestablish life in Canada. If you can prove those two things, the rest of it shouldn't be that hard. :)
