Queries for dependent child application

Dear All

I am applying the sponsorship application for my dependent child in September 2010. I need to know about the following:

A) Time period involved in getting eligibility from CPC
B) Time period involved in getting decision from CHC Islamabad (for infants)
C) I need to be present in Canada throughout process; may I leave for two to three weeks outside Canada from December 25 – January 10

It says that the process time for dependant children from Islamabad is 23 months for 80%
And while you are sponsoring a dependant child from outside Canada when you are a PR you must stay in Canada for the entire process.But if you are not a PR but a citizen then you can do what you like.
