you mean the one that you sent?
usually that message means that delivery could not be made in a physical person (office may be closed for example) and someone should go and pick it up from the post office.
:/ weird. Did you require specifically a signature on delivery?
I would contact the post office to arrange another delivery (worst case to return it back to you and you resend it) as I doubt if someone from cic would go to pick it up.

mine statuses were 'out for delivery', 'delivered' and then someone's signature although I didn't ask.
I guess it comes by default with xpress post. the return one is not activated yet.

hope it goes all well
Hi @hzael15,
Yes, thanks, I meant the one I sent. Because I know is a P.O. Box, there was none there to "sign" the reception, but I wanted to know if someone had a similar message!
Inside are my family passports and the XpressPost envelope.

Hi alemom,

that sounds strange to me. My status has always been "out for delivery" (which as I mentioned earlier seems to mean "delivered" as some other people in the forum suggested). "item available to pick up" seems to mean that an attempt has been made to deliver the package but was not successful and returned to the Post Office for the receiver to pick up. But it is a PO Box, shouldn't it be just delivered inside it?

My return envelope has not been activated yet :(

my vo is in hongkong
hi kevindi888, i believe the email should come after Decision Made in a couple of days. Sometimes both happen on the same day. But for certain it will come, without much delay. cheers

yeah , i just checked mine. It shows out for delivery today 10:30 am, but it is still showing same thing since then.
Should I be worried about this?

Maybe tomorrow I need to go to canada post ask more details.

I believe it should be fine. In other threads ppl talk about this and they say the status has remained always as "out for delivery" even after the moment the CoPR and passport have been returned. It's a bug in CanadaPost system. For Xpressport (which is quite expensive, but they dun scan all envelopes? c'est incroyable  )
for mine, since Monday 10:30am, it has become "out for delivery" and not changed to anything else.

But if you go to ask CanadaPost sometime, pls lemme know what they say... I just sent photocopy of passport rather than passport (as I am from visa-exempt country) and other accompanying materials which are all inexpensive and relatively unimportant, but would be disappointed if the delivery failed for any reason)

Even it is delivered, they are so not responsible for the customers especially for this kind of important materials.

I am an inland applicant who will get my PPR soon (got Decision made status on Thursday)
Anybody has any advice or experience on sending VO Ottawa an email to request an office change as I am in my homecountry (Vietnam) and do not have a visa at the moment to enter Canada to send my Passport?
Thanks in advance!

Follow the instructions of the email you will get when they ask you for the passport. The email has this case as well and they should switch the VO to the one that is more convenient for you. You should be fine.

I called them. They told me it is in the final destination, but the agent said even it is delivered, if the passport office didn't pick them up into their delivery room, it would be still showing "out for delivery".
The agent is saying the passport office is very busy these days.
So the agent suggests me wait until next Tuesday to see if it shows "delivered", if not, I can still call them back.

Thanks for the reply
I hope switching the VO won't prolong the visa issue process :)

I called to Canada Post customer service twice, they opened a case and the answer is insane "they don't know where the envelope is". They recommended me to call CIC and ask them to pick up the envelope... the most hilarious and annoying part was when the lady asked me for a phone number to talk with the receiver

So, Canada Post says nothing... or what they say is useless.

Then, I called to the Canada Post offices in Ottawa closest to Inmigration building to check if my envelope was there, and the last one told me that most probably the PO box was full and my package is at the office, considering that the PO box is supposed to be in the same office. They guess that is the normal process and most probably the PO box is inside the Inmigration building, so it looks like is common that the PO box is full and they have to pick up more envelopes at the office. I hope ??? ??? ???

I'm afraid that my passports are in an office and after 2 or 3 weeks will be returned to me, and I'll have to send it again... I will send an email Monday morning to the email address in the passport request to verify if they received my passport or not.

I'm tired of this f*** rollercoaster :'( :'( :'( :'(

@Cohenbrother, wow so they--the CIC--have actually not checked the PO Box. I am impressed :(

@alemom, I can feel your frustration. I think (and really hope) such thing would not happen to you. (And how could CanadaPost be so indifferent and careless, many of us here actually enclose our passports, they should know where the packages are).

Let's hope and pray that the PO Box will get their attention and some kind and sympathetic CIC officers will process our CoPRs and we can all land this coming week. *all fingers and toes crossed*
