Hi,
I received AOR 29th November but after 162 canadian working days, no medical requested yet. I observed in forum normally after 150 days, they will request for medical. Why taking so long ???

I just realized that after PPR, the waiting game is not over yet.
I received the PPR email on January 5 (Thu) and sent my package of required documents at around 18:00 of that day.
The lady at CanadaPost told me by XpressPost it would be received in 2 business days (guaranteed), that is, on January 9 Monday.

First, my experience is: the tracking system of Canada Post is unreliable and frustrating. It has shown the status "out for delivery" since Monday morning around 10ish and has not changed to anything else. I read somewhere else in this forum that it is normal (as the CIC received too many Xpresspost materials particularly during peak periods. More often than not the envelopes might not be scanned when they arrive....) so I take it to mean that my package has already arrived (though I still made a complaint to Canada Post anyway).

While I believed that process should be straightforward and anticipated that I could go to land this week, I still have not received the CoPR. The return Xpresspost envelope has not been activated. I learnt that at some point when they issue the CoPR and before we receive it, our MyCIC account will have some updates, such as the status for final decision will change from "not started" to "complete." And for this, we should get an email notification. This has not happened thus far.

Based on the sharing of some fellow PR applicants on this thread and elsewhere of this forum, I believe the gap between PPR and CoPR is approximately 10 days, but some pessimistically suggested that it could be anything from 2 to 10 weeks (!!!)
Let's hope this round it is going to be quick.

that is strange. But you got the email requesting for passport, so it might not matter that much.

Congrats @khanhle, see? The times are getting more or less similar to all f us (that received news this year). Obviously is like 2 weeks higher than the 280 days of last year (that'll be 295 days)!

That's it!

Again, I encourage everybody to continue updating the table-list, so you'll have an idea of the delays.

I am currently in my home country now. When I receive a Passport request, do I have to send it to Canada or can I send it to the Canadian consulate or visa office in my region?

O... I remember that the PPR email mentions that CIC cannot send passport to anywhere outside North America (US or Canada).
I believe it is ok to send passport to CIC @Ottawa upon receiving the PPR if you are abroad, as long as the address you provide in Annex A is Canadian one and you can arrange to pick it up. But in this case, you will also have to arrange someone to send the passport back to you. This sounds risky (I usually want to avoid sending my passport between two countries). and you need your passport to come back (and land on your return).

CIC also suggests that if you cannot provide a Canadian address, you should then contact them by an email (should be listed in the PPR email), and they will arrange to let you proceed this step with the Canadian Embassy or Consulate most convenient to you....

Hey Smearingo , thanks for the reply. It's likely that when I have my PPR, I would have to contact CIC and ask to send my Passport to the Singapore office instead.
Do you have any info regarding the PR visa processing time in Singapore office? Would it be slower or faster than the Canadian one?

I hope it will be fast. Sorry I dun have any info about it. But I believe in this stage, there should not be a big difference in terms of processing time

Hey khanhle, did u receive the medical request from Singapore office? I think my VO is Singapore as I received last week an email similar to the AOR from Singapore. Please let me know how it took to get med request after your AOR.
Thanks

No. I am in inland applicant. Everything was done in Canada. I came back to my home country because my Canadian visa expired
