Quebec Skilled Worker Federal Stage (After CSQ)

Hi Quebec 100,

I am compiling federal application document.

My question is as follows :

On site CIC
it says : 'Your payment must be in Canadian dollars and be payable to “Receiver General for Canada”;
have your name printed on the back; and
be submitted with your application.'

Our local banks do not have this facility to print on the back of the cheque

What should we do?

Yesterday I received communication from CIC.

They have requested updated "Schedule A – IMM-5669 Form" for my spouse. I will be sending that today.

Any idea why they require this form again, and how long do they take to update the info?

After 10 months of waiting, I finally got my passport request today! I am so excited and should probably get a beer to chill out a bit.

Anyway, my timeline is as the followings:

VISA OFFICE : Ottawa
File received : June,15th, 2015
AOR : Sept, 3rd, 2015
Medical Request: About Jan, 18th, 2016
Medical Done : About Jan, 23rd, 2016
Police Clearance: Feb, 12th, 2016
PCC received : Feb, 29th, 2016
Passport request: April, 15th,2016
(BTW, It's been a year and I still couldn't figure out how to put my time line as "Signature" in this forum)

Through out this year, I got the following situation.

1) Stayed in China for almost half a year after I submit my application.
2) Did my medical examination in China
3) Mistakenly filled my date of graduation to be someday in 2014 instead of 2015 in the background information form. But I sent in an email and a scanned version of a new background information form to CIC. Although the situation was rectified, I still feel the cringe.... :'( Because they can just return my application and let me wait for another year....

Now, it is question time.

1) How long does it take to get my passport back after I submit it?
2) What is next step?
3) When will I get my maple card?

Hi Goodie,

If you placed on your application that you know French, then they will speak to you in French at the interview.
If you already have enough points without French, and you are a low level at speaking, then it is always better to place ZERO French knowledge on the CSQ application.
I did this, and because I placed zero French, the lady who interviewed be took note of that and spoke in English the whole time.

I applied with initial paper application as level B1 [2011], but, unfortunately I can never reach to that level. I am only A2.
But, later when the new rules came up [around 2013-2014], i claimed my french as zero as i already got the points by that time in the professional experience section.

What do you think, can I still get my CSQ with A2 level french?
Are there any rejected candidates from interview?

Hi Steph,

To get the signature I think you have at least 10 posts.

1)My passport took just about 2 weeks to come back via courier (included a prepaid courier envelope).

2)Once you get the visa back you have until the deadline given to arrive in Quebec

3)For the card it seems to vary but I know somewhere it mentions about 3 months. Some people have waited for over 100 days.

Well seems that things are moving slowly but surely so hopefully the rest of us can get our paper process to next stage till getting our passport stamp very soon.

Since i received my AOR in Feb 2016 no news but i saw on my E-case that they started processing my application on March 2016
Hopefully i get something this month finger cross
