I have just received an email from Abu Dhabi stating that my file is currently undergoing further background checks carried out by third parties and that they cannot predict when they will be completed.

I remember reading here about a way to inquire about these background checks. I wonder if anyone can guide me on how to do it, bearing in mind that I do not live in Canada.

Once you have received your AOR afterwards the processing of your application starts which definitely means in process and They keep in process until DM(Decision Made)

To my knowledge you cannot make an appointment for landing at the airport. To land at the airport, you must fly in from another country. You make appointments at IRCC for landing, or you can drive to a border that validates CoPRs, such as Lacolle and flagpole.
