Quebec PR - current job market ?

I just visited a consultant - who confirms I meet the requirement for a Quebec PR.

My question is how is the general job market in Montreal / Quebec City - How long will it be till I get a job. Anything that I can do from India to better my chances (I have already started learning French)

I have a total of 9 years experience in Investment Banking - Operations.Education - Mcom. Management. 3 Years NIIT software programming.
