We applied under the investors category in Lebanon (technically Damascus, because that's where the immigration department was at the time) around March/April 2009, went for interview Nov. 2009 deposited 125K, and got the CSQ on Jan. 12, 2010, last thing they asked us was around february 2012, when they asked for our police clearance...and there has been NO WORD ever since. When we applied, our lawyer said it should take about 20 months or so. The CSQ even expires on Jan. 1, 2013 and we still haven't received any news.
I am WELL aware that the immigration department in syria that processes lebanese applications had some disruption to its service since Feb of this year, and was understaffed until last month. That doesn't explain why we haven't heard back.
