Quebec CSQ weird experience and waiting

Hi all,
I have been a regular at these forums and it has helped me tremendously for my prep for the CSQ interview. I applied for my Quebec immigration in January 2011, well before the mandate for compulsory test results was implemented. And I waited 3 years for an interview which I got in December 2013. I got married in December 2012 and updated the office of my status, added my wife as NON ACCOMPANYING for the moment and waited for the interview.

At the interview :

The interview was completely in french and 2 minutes into the interview, the officer asked me if I was married and I said yes. She was at first worried that I did not add my wife deliberately while I applied but I explained to her that I was single when I applied and I only married an year before. She then realized that I was in the clear and asked me why I did not add my wife and that it would take me 2 years to add her once I get my PR. She almost forced me to add my wife before the interview started and asked me what my wife did and details about her job and education. I told her my wife is a 'debutaunt en francaise' and she said it was fine and gave my wife a 0. Then the questions about Why Quebec, Which city in Quebec, Values of Quebec etc, everything in french.

And then , she asked for papers relating to my wife and I had little to none except for my Mariage Cert and her passport copy. She then told me that I have enough points to clear the interview but I needed to get her the documents for my wife. She gave me an intent to reject letter stating the required docs and I submitted the docs about a month ago.

My question is, has any one had a similar experience? Either this is very good for me or very bad for me.

The Officer was right, She is really helping you to give u time for updating ur file with wife's details.

You should have taken those papers with you to the interview and she could have updated your file and issued you CSQ on the spot for u and ur wife . They usually do that.

You should send your wife's details ASAP to update the file.and Hope for Best

I'm sorry to tell you this but you should've added your wife from the beginning, or at least had the proper documents with you for the interview. I understand that maybe you were worried that it could've delayed your process or affected the decision, NO! It would've not. They are fair people here. Your move made it suspicious and "weird". If you think about it, you married this person, why wouldn't she wanna accompany you? Or you have her with you? Why did you marry her then? Something is fishy! That's what they would think. I know that wasn't your intention and you meant well, but you have to understand how things work here, and that is, you have to do everything the proper way.

Send the missing documents ASAP, do things right and don't try to fool the system, it works fine as it is if you play right. Trust me, we've all been there, most of us got it, and it's just a matter of time for the others, who do it right, remember that!

She did ask me why she was not accompanying me and I told her frankly that I intend to first go find a job and a place to stay and then make arragements to get my wife because it was less than an year since I was married, and with my wife trying to find a job where I was staying, she did not have the time to learn french and this way she will have the time to learn a new language. And it might take a couple of months or more to find a job and a place and it was a bad idea that both of us leave our jobs.

And right after I got married, I notified that I got married but she will be not be accompanying me for the moment. I already sent the documents for my wife as well and I am waiting on their answer.
