You have to make cancel your existing diploma, as DELF is valid for whole life. You can write to authority of DELF exam( CIEP).

http://www.ciep.fr/en/delfdalf/faq.php

Go to Point no. 2

If any rule doesn't work, u have to go for costly exam TCFQ/TEFAQ

hi Hec,

May I know the TCF exam dates as such we can know for IELTS from the websites.
:) French Exam system are not sophisticated as TOEFL, IELTS. You can get the dates from Alliance Francaise. Next TCF exam date is 18th April, 2012 in India.

If you passed you cannot take the exam again unless you revoke the certification in writing before to appear for the exam again. However, if you do the exam and fail you cannot go back...since you revoked the certificate it will remain invalid. It's kinda like that old saying "A bird in the hand isn't worth two in the bush." So if you are comfortable do a higher level

New Procedures Announced to Assess Foreign Credential
by David Cohen

On 28 March 2012, Jason Kenney, the Canadian Minister of Citizenship, Immigration, and Multiculturalism, announced major changes to the ways in which foreign skilled workers will have their education credentials assessed before arriving to Canada.

Further details on how this ‘pre-arrival assessment’ will be implemented are forthcoming. However, Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) has stated that “a pre-arrival assessment would let applicants know how their education credentials compare to Canadian credentials and it will give immigrants a sense of how Canadian employers are likely to value their education”. With this knowledge in mind, applicants without sufficient education will be more effectively screened at an earlier stage, and those whose applications are accepted will be better prepared to find work in their field. Of course, applicants who intend to work in regulated professions will need to have their qualifications further assessed before being allowed to enter the Canadian labour force.

Minister Kenney stated that “this proposal is part of a broader package of transformational changes that will make Canada’s immigration policies work better for the Canadian economy”. These changes have been announced in conjunction with the release of the 2011 Government of Canada Progress Report on Foreign Credential Recognition, Strengthening Canada’s Economy, which outlines new efforts by the Canadian Government to better address educational issues in immigration.

what about people like us

Hi

I am silent reader of this forum.
I was busy in personal stuff and preparing for french.

I am very surprised to read about cutoff number for quebec immigration.

I appeared last year for quebec selection interview.I was short of 2 point so they gave me 1 year to prepare for french.(To reach level a2 from a1)

I am just worried that if I am not able to reach the level quickly. The quota will be filled quickly

Is someone in similar situation.

Thanks

The Ref number sould logically be the CSQ number since the file number is what was used for previous correspondence before the interview and issuing of the CSQ.
