Hi, I applied for immigration to Quebec under Skilled Worker Program in December 2010 and finally submitted all required documents in June 2011.
I got the result in September 2012 but I was refused. On inspection of the assessment, I discovered I was not scored anything for 'Area of Training'

I have a B.Sc in Biochemistry (1989), an M. Sc in Bioinformatics (2006) and currently doing a Ph. D. in Biochemistry.

I was hoping to be scored for my studies and experience in the scientific field of Biochemistry. Before my application, I had found out that 'Biochemistry' is one of the sought after professional areas in Quebec.
The response however was code "1883 - incompatible with an academic qualification in Quebec"
I do not understand how that is possible. :o

My spouse also is an Electrical/Electronics Engineer with more than ten (10) years in the IT and Interactive Media industry with an MA in Interactive Media (2006). No score was given for Area of Training.

I intend to appeal and need to be sure I have enough information to win the appeal.
Please, can anyone assist me with the relevant information or the best way to go about my appeal? Your help is very much appreciated. Thank you very much.

The best way to go about an appeal is to hire a good lawyer. You will need someone in Canada to represent you when the case goes to court.

Scylla thanks for your reply. I believe it has not reached the level of a court appeal.

However, at this stage I have been given 90 days to appeal the decision by presenting further documents to show I have been wrongly refused.

This could be documents that I had not presented before.

So I am asking for suggestions on how best to show my Area of Training (and perhaps my work experience) in Biochemistry should be taking into account.

The trainings were acquired in the UK in the last five years.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
