QSW Federal Stage - Application from Inside Canada

I would like to open a new topic for those who have already got CSQ and sent application to Syndey NS from Inside Canada. We are experiencing the similar situations. Let us share stories.

About my time lines:
Catergory: Quebec Skilled Worker
CSQ received in September 2015
Federal stage application sent from Montreal on October 13, 2015 and was received by CIC syndey office on Octobre 16, 2015.
Application fee deducted from my Credit Card on Feb. 25, 2016.
This is the latest news.

Hope to receive the AOR soon and all will be fine in the following procedures.....

Application sent back to us on November 3rd due to missing signature
Application re-sent to Sydney on November 4th from Montreal with added signature (unfortunately the study permit that gave us valid status in Canada at the time of the first application expired in September, and we forgot to swap it out with the PGWP that replaced it - fingers crossed that we don't get the application sent back AGAIN due to that)
Application received in Sydney on November 6th

Visa Office......: Sydney NS, then sent to Ottawa Processing Centre
App. Filed.......: September 9, 2015
AOR Received.: December 23, 2015
File Transfer...: December 24, 2015 (started visa processing)
Med's Request..: February 9, 2015
(I was on Vacation in February 2016, and the Meds were done in August of 2015)
(I called in on February 19 2016. They just needed to attach the Medicals to my file)
Med's Received: February 29, 2015 (shown as "Medical results have been received" in the online tool)
RPRF..............: Paid Upfront when App. Filed.
Passport Req..: TBD
VISA ISSUED...: TBD

Yes, I did it before but honestly I didn't believe they would accept it. I also paid the Permanent Resident fees to speed up the procedure.

If your application is complete, you will probabally receive AOR within around 4 or 5 months after sending the application.

AOR received this morning of March 3rd! So relieved I could cry, we were really expecting it to be sent back to us due to having failed to swap out study permit to post graduate work permit.

By the way, do you have access to your application in ecas yet? It's not there yet for us but it's only been a day... was just wondering how long it typically takes to arrive.

Also, if anyone knows, the application was sent with an expired study permit as her proof of status in Canada, but now she's on her post-graduate work permit and she got a job since. We should inform CIC of this, correct? What is the correct procedure to do this? Will we need to send a copy of her work permit or can they check that she has it on their side (Her work permit has the same UCI as her expired study permit)? Will they just request this later? Not sure if we should take the initiative of informing them about this ahead of time or just wait for them to ask...

You need to wait 3 or 5 days to be added in ECAS. No worries.

As for the new work permit of your spouse, I do not know if you need to report it or not. Better to ask for more info.

Hi Vince,

Since it is the same UCI number (I was a student as well, then received my post-graduate work permit), I would assume that the processing center will see this in your record.
However, if I were you, I would take the initiative to call the CIC Call center and ask the question. Here is the link which provides the number to call.
cic.gc.ca/english/contacts/call.asp

Follow the steps on the automated response to talk about permanent residence applications. This will put you in touch with a representative who will open your file and answer your question(s).
I find that some reps are more helpful than others. If you do not get a clear answer the first time, then call back a few hours later and you will speak with another representative (this happened to me, and asking a second time worked).
