Hi all.
Received PPR today.
But having mixed feelings
They require 12 months validity while mine is only 10 months. Is this an issue. I plan to land within one month of visa issuance. Help advice me please

First of all congratulations for the PPR & may I know that is there mentioned anywhere in the email that the validity of the passport is required is 12 months.

Yes dear they mentioned my passport should be 12 months valid and submitted within 30 days

I think you should contact your passport office in person along with the email print out & explain the situation.

There must be any way out on the other side you should also contact cic for the alternative.

What about the idea of submitting the current one with 10 months validity and attaching and explanatory letter? My home country won't issue a new passport within this time frame. I know how their services are ....

In regards to your query, I am no expert in this area, but I am thinking if your home country denies to renew as your current is still valid, can they put this in writing?
Then you can submit this letter, along with your letter of explanation and current passport and see how it goes.

I am still a way off in my process and mine expires next August so I will be following to see how things go for you
