Hi
I have a question, I am applying for my parents (both senior over 65)
They are eligible now (1095 days in Canada, landed 2016) but not sure about Q10 & Q11.
They have traveled back home on 3 occasions as below:
2017, for 3 months
2018, for 7 months
2019, for 2 months

Q10, should I add the address of back home where they traveled for duration(s) above?
Q11, should I include above duration(s) and mention as travel?

Hi

They are eligible now (1095 days in Canada, landed 2016) but not sure about Q10 & Q11.

2018, for 7 months

Depending on the block of days spent abroad, check if their block of stay was more than 183 and fill only such block in 10A and 10B with the home country address. If the continuous stay outside Canada is less than 183 days then the Canadian address is sufficient.
For example, if they were away between Oct 2017 and Apr 2018 and the no. of days spent back home is more than 183 days you will have to fill that period in 10A and 10B with your home country address. But if they were away between Oct 2018 and Feb 2019 so the no of days spent back home is less than 183 days, dont fill that period in 10A and 10B with your home address, instead use their Canadian address.

You can expand the "help" in the application form by clicking on the "?" to see more examples for understanding it better.

Also, you have to provide the police certificate from your home country if they spent more than 183 days continuously in your home country in a single stay.

Q11 - If your parents are not working because they have retired, just mention "retired" with their Canadian address. And for any period more than 183 days continuous stay at your home country mention retired with the home country address.

All the best!
