It’s been 33 months since submission; I only received the file number, and I’m still waiting for the sponsor-part approval. What is happening at IRCC?
There is a huge backlog of applications and there has been a decrease in quota for privately sponsored refugees

If there is a backlog and quota restrictions, why does the IRCC official processing time page currently state 27 months for PSR applications from Türkiye? Wouldn't that official estimate already account for the backlogs?
Also, since other applications submitted around the same time and even 5 months after mine recently got approved, do you think files at 33 months are just stuck in the officer review queue, or should we expect further delays due to these quota limits?
Processing times are estimates and are often not representative of actual processing times for some reason. They are also often reassessed.
