PSR Approval sponsor

Hi every one

I submit a PSR private sponsor comunity application for my brother who is refugee in egypt in 21/7/2024 after one year he got a G file number.
Last week i asked my Area MP to reach the immigration if there is any update regarding my brother process after one day they send me an email after getting an update from the ircc and it was more confusing:
this is the email from my area MP
"Dear omar ,

I hope this message finds you well.

I followed up with IRCC, and the agent provided the following update regarding your application:

Eligibility: Not started

Security: Not started

Medical: Not started

Criminality: In progress

The estimated remaining processing time is currently 27 months, with an estimated completion date of October 21, 2026. Please note that processing times are subject to change depending on IRCC's workload and the progress of your application.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out.

Kind regards"

How come after two years there is no update? and also i remember i got the same email from the MP last year just shortly after my brother got the Gnumber... we were waiting for the sponsor approval by now but it seemd nothing has changed so can any one explain more about what is happening realy?

No thing yet here I have received the sponsor approve that is all I am a group of five application

My application was submitted on February 2024 and on the January 15/2026 I received the sponsor approval and nothing new yet !!

Did you submit any request for CGMS this can show everything about your brother application I think you pay same thing 5 dollars for processing I see people on social media talk about it

We’ve seen processing be closer to 5 years although don’t know exact processing time these days at different offices. There are large backlogs and a reduced annual quota so processing is very slow.

You already seem to have all the information that would be contained on GCMS notes.

Wouldn’t trust the ~2 year processing time because except for emergency cases processing is typically much longer than that. Your brother is part of a large backlog waiting for private sponsorship which is nothing has been completed.
