Hi All,

A bit of background. I recently got my PR status (eCOPR) in April 2025. Since that date I had not recieved my PR card after IRCC had said that the card was mailed (card was mailed on 2nd of Jume 2025). I had submitted a solemn declaration form on the 29th of July 2025 and waited till the 25th of August 2025 and after calling the IRCC they said that they had not recieved the form. I needed to travel on 1st of September and the IRCC agent that was on the phone had mentioned that I could apply for a PRTD outside the Canada.

I have been completing this form but am on the residency section. Since I have only just become a PR (Apr 2025) what do they mean by the 730 days of stay in Canada as a PR? Will this leadt to a refusal of the PRTD? And if its a refusal, how will this affect my PR status and how can I refurn to the country?

I have to mention that I am employed full time and have taken vacation days so will need to return.

You can put that you are in compliance (have the 730 days). They will understand - at this early stage you basically get credit for days remaining in your first five years as PR.

perfect, thanks for the reply! While I have you, they also require an end date for the residency and work sections when filling out the form. Is there no way to put a currently working as the end date or should I just put todays date?

I'd put today's date, but if others have better answers, great.

Got it. Sorry one more question, so it asks for my residency and work history in the last 5 years or since I became a PR. Does that mean I can put my residency and work history since April 2025?

Don't know. You could certainly put just since April, see what happens. but if you're in a rush you may want to avoid that possibility
