Hello everyone, I have a question regarding my husbands PRTD application. I checked some threads but couldn't really find what I was searching for. I hope someone here can help. I'm Canadian and he is German and we have been living abroad in Germany for 3 years (we've been together for 14 years and lived the years before in Canada together). Regarding the translations we need. We have certified translations of official registration documents that prove cohabitation for each apartment we lived in. In addition we have copies of our ids (text is in English and German, shows our address), our marriage certificate in English and some flight bookings for vacation we did together. I wanted to include the first page of the yearly utility bill (one for gas and one for electricity) and some pay stubs (showing our addresses) in German and provide a small explanation in English. Is that enough, or do I need to have them officially translated as well and if so, is the first page enough, as it shows our names, the address and the nature of that document, or does it have to be the whole document?I hope someone can help.

Your case seems pretty straightforward (from the info I see, so kind of guessing) - personally I'd proceed as you did without translations and just first page, and in whatever correspondence you attach, just note you're providing these to show you reside together (proof of address). Don't explain in detail what they are, just 'utility bill' or pay stub or whatever (and write direct on the doc I think).
They hypothetically could ask for translations. But I've done similar to what you are doing without translations and not had a problem. Especially when it's arguably far more than they need, really. (You might consider providing a bit less - don't blame you for belt and suspenders approach though)
(I wouldn't have bothered with the official translation of the registration document but since you did, great)
