1 – Does the person being sponsored have to show proof that he/she will have a job as soon as he/she lands?

2 – Does the sponsor have to prove that he/she is able to support his/her sponsored spouse, and if so, how? The sponsor doesn’t have a job and was receiving assistance, but hasn't been in receipt of assistance for 3 months due to traveling to country of spouse.

The applicant doesn't need employment nor does the sponsor, but the sponsor must not receive social assistance for any reason other than disability.

However, if the sponsor lives outside of Canada the following applies:
Sponsors not residing in Canada must provide evidence that they reside exclusively
outside Canada on the date of giving the undertaking and will reside in Canada at the time
their sponsored spouse, common-law partner, conjugal partner and/or children become
permanent residents of Canada. Evidence that they will reside in Canada may include one
or more of the following:
  • letter from an employer;
  • letter of acceptance to a Canadian educational institution
  • proof of having rented/bought a dwelling in Canada
  • reasonable plans for re-establishing in Canada or severing ties to the other country.

1 – NO
2 – HAVE TO PROVICE THE C OPTION Print / Pay Stubs though there is no Income eligibility criteria?
Once you will provide the C OPTION Print it will show if you are getting some Social Assistance - could be a problem for sponsoring I believe for 6 months atleast
