Proofing 730 days in Canada

Hello everybody,

Just want ask you, do i need to proof my 730 days in Canada? I got my PR 20 of July 2008 i was absent in Canada but in 20 of May 2013 i will have 730 days in Canada. And after 20 May I will apply for URGENT RENEWAL PR because I want to go to Ukraine for vocation. How do you think do i need to proof my 730 days in this situation?

Do you have one complete stay of 730 days? If yes, you can prove it from your passport stamp as you entered Canada and the fact that you have no passport stamps since then but it would be better to include more proof than that. Have you had a steady job or jobs during most of that time? If you can get letters from the employers showing which periods you have worked for them, that would help too. Filed taxes? That would help too.

The main problem that i dont have stamps in passport because i was yound and i had two travel documents but when i got 18 i got passport and in this passport i have only one entry in canada and they took my travel documents, so i have only one passport with one entry stamp.Yes i work for most period and i study at college for more rhat time also i studied at high school for 6 month. Is it enough to proof my 730 days?

What does the one stamp in your passport say? Your school records as well as letters from your employers stating which periods you have worked for them should be enough to prove your stay.

I was in Ukraine this summer and got new passport and after i came to canada on august 19 so this stamp show my entry in august 19. I want ask , its not should be proof exactly for that 730 days? Because i have my documents from school that i was in canada for 6 month but its not shows 6 month . I have no idea how can i proof.. Could you please give me an advice? If you can prove that it was a short trip and you fulfilled 730 days from staying before and after the trip, you should be ok. Of course it is better to give it a bit more than exactly 730 because it will make it less likely to get a residency questionnaire. Do 750 for example.

Thank you for your advice. So it means that if i have some airplane tickets a have some activities such as school, college work. I will provide them my information and finally it will be ok?

You might have a problem because you only have one passport. They usually want to see old passports. However, if you can cover the time you were in Canada with school records and statements from employers and cover the time you were outside Canada with your flight tickets and your one passport stamp and according to the evidence you provide, you have 730 days or more, you should be ok.

So how can i apply for this? Just fill application "Personal Information Request Form (TBC/CTC 350-58) (RTF)" and mail it to Canada Border Services Agency?Do i need to determine federal government institution and if it needs how can i choose it and which one's i need to choose to have as much as possible information?
Do i need to choose something there? Or just fill it?

Leon, how do you think is it enough to proof my 730 if i have: all e-tickets that shows all dates of entry and exit canada, report from school (6month), income tax , my passport with one stamp, my travel document with just one exit from canada also report from Humber college EAP program that i finished and from this year i started to learn business management - financial services?
