Proof of your relationship

Hi everyone,

My sister is applying for her PR via express entry and the online portal is asking her to

You must provide proof of your relationship with your host or family member. This can include:

a marriage certificate
Statutory Declaration of Common-Law Union (IMM5409)
a birth certificate
an official document naming you as a parent
a copy of the inside back cover of the inviter's passport showing the inviter's parents, if applicable


I am currently a PR in Canada. Would anyone know what kind of documents she needs to upload?

She must include both of your birth certificates (to show the names of your parents), your PR card (copy showing both front and back), COPR, passport with immigrant stamp, and any proof of billing showing your Canadian address.

Unfortunately I dont have a birth certificate.

Would it be alright if we got an affidavit stating the name of the parents and both of our names as the children?

Affidavit won't do. Do your passports have the names of your parents?

Hello guys


For the proof of status of my sister in Canada, i provided the following
1. Her passport
2. Certificate of Canadian citizenship

But now i found out that i should also provide

>Evidence that the family member currently resides in Canada must be provided (a residential lease, mortgage documents, utility bills, etc.).
The documents should be up to date as of six months prior to submission.


What should be done now. Will this lead to rejection?

Hi can anyone answer my scenario,

I am applying for TRV to visit my sister(PR holder) , for which i have to submit proof of relationship . But unfortunately , my sister's passport has my parents name with some spelling change (it was changed after sometime coz of neumerology). So i cant submit that as a proof of relationship , now coming to birth certificate, It also has a minor change in spelling below is the clear details,

sis birth cert - parents name - Rajaganapathi & Indrani
My birth cert - parents name - Rajaganapathy & Indirani

please help
